The County High School Leftwich Fashion Taster Day
Today a fantastic group of students from The County High School, Leftwich came into The London Road Studios for a Fashion taster day. They ranged from years 7 to 10 and are all interested in Fashion and this really showed with the interesting and creative designs they produced through the day.
They worked really well together in small groups; their first task was to produce sculptural shapes on the mannequins, using either the shape: square, circle or triangle, cut out of paper.
We called it Paper Drapers as they draped/modelled their designs straight on to the mannequins.
Group 1: Megan, Rachel & Lauren
Group 2: Sophie, Ellie & Lydia
Group 3: Eve, Chloe & Helen
Group 4: Harriet, Georgina & Maisie
Group 5: Evie, Amber & Chloe (with two dots above the e!)
Group 6: Jordan & Lizzie
If it was up to me you could all come on to our courses when it comes time to make the choice - but it isn't up to me.....!
Well done and thank you for a great day.

Taster Days
Today and yesterday we had the pleasure of some of our students for next year, coming in to get a taste of what it's going to be like for them studying at Mid-Cheshire, next year on the Extended Diploma.
They worked really well together and produced some really exciting work.
Their first task was to work in pairs and produce sculptural shapes on the mannequins, using either the shape: square, circle or triangle, cut out of paper. They were asked to be as experimental as they could and to consider scale, focus and texture.
Here's the work they produced. Really impressive we think!
